    The Craig Thread

The cachers in Craig are organizing.  Currenlty there is a planning event on June 16th, with another event planned for mid/late July.

This thread is being created for the Craig Area cachers.  Group caching excursions, event planning, other random questions, whatever you want.

Thanks to spydershutter309 for setting up the initial event, lionhunter_syrup for the e-mail communications leading to this post, and Team Talisman for everything they're doing for the West (this includes are future things too!)

    Re: The Craig Thread

Thank you, Team Laxson, for getting us started.  We checked out or coordinates for the June 16 meeting last night.  This is an organization meeting for our group.  We have several cachers in Craig and we are getting more and more interest each day.  On June 16 2:00 at Craig City Park, just north of the VFW Hall we plan to intiate interest and start a email chain type club.  Regular announcements and get-togethers will be coordinated thru email.  We would like to have a GEO Event on July 21.  We have reserved the covered picnic area at the Moffat County Fair Grounds.  On July 21 we are planning a burger lunch and games. We will have door prizes at both meetings.  You can park overnight at the fairgrounds with an RV.  Bring your 4wheel drive and check out some of the remote caches in the wild country NW of Craig or check out Steamboat Springs, with many cool caches and places to visit. For more info write me at lionhunter_syrup@yahoo.com

You're quite welcome.  Glad to help out.  Sorry I won't be able to make the June 16th event.  Father's day weekend 'n all......

I'm leaving the weekend of the 21st open to attend that event though.  Let me know if there's anything I can do to assist.  It's a bit of a drive, but I've never been out to Craig yet.  Went out to Gould Mountain, but stopped there for some camping.

    Re: The Craig Thread

Just re-visited the pre event listing.  Is the regular event being planned for the 14th or the 21st?  I don't recall where I got the 21st from (the listing speaks to the 14th).

I have been trying to find them for the Event in Glenwood, but no one will confess to where they are at......
